In order to use Suzara's males for stud service, a certain criteria must
be met. Please read below for more information on our policy for Stud
Service.
1) Female being bred MUST BE SHOW QUALITY. We will not breed
a dog with our males if the female does not meet the AKC
standards for the breed. We want to enhance the line and will not
breed dogs that do not meet the standard.
2) Female must be brought to our home once she is in season. She
will stay for a period of about one week.
a) female must have had a brucelosis test.
b) female must have a current health certificate ensuring she is in
good health for breeding.
c) Female must be current on all shots.
3) Male chosen to breed must be compatible with female. We will
not allow a breeding if we feel that the male and female is not a
good match. We want to enhance the line and will not breed a
male to a female if they are not a good match.
4) IF the breeder with the female wishes to have the semen shipped to
their home rather than having the female brought to us, the breeder
with the female must call us to make arrangements. The breeder with
the female will be responsible for shipping costs as well as breeding
fee. Specific information including but not limited to Dam information,
breeder information, and term details will be required before semen is
shipped.
Stud fees for breeding are either:
a) $600 with $150 down for breeding fee when female
is dropped off. Balance of $450 is due by the time the
pups are 1 week old.
b) Pick of the Litter. This means that Suzara gets
FIRST choice of a puppy in the litter for the cost of the
stud service.
If no pups are produced from breeding, Suzara will repeat the breeding
when the bitch comes into season again under the original agreement
with no additional cost.
