| Welcome To Suzara Shelties Suzara Shelties is dedicated to providing quality dogs for conformation, performance & companionship. Suzara Shelties humble beginnings started in 2005. Suzara is family operated by Barb and Larry Wilmot along with their daughter and son - in - law, Suzi and Jon Storrm. If you ask Suzi and Jon's 11 year old daughter, she would tell you that she is an equal partner of Suzara Shelties too! We started out by purchasing one beautiful male sable sheltie, Morgan, a Pure for Sable show quality Male from Felicity Shelties, who was to be simply a Christmas Present for Barb from Larry. The second came along a couple months later in February 2006 when Suzi convinced Jon they should have a show quality female Sheltie. Jon bought Suzi, Eve, as an anniversary gift in early 2006 from Purdee Shelties. We have since expanded to 8 shelties. Currently we have 5 females and 3 males. We will continue to grow a small amount as our females get older and should no longer be bred for their own health precautions. However, we don't want so many that we cannot spend adequate time with them, so our numbers will stay down below 10. Each and every one of our shelties are part of our family. They are our "fur kids". Each of them lives in the house with us. They are not crate dogs. They do not get locked away in a separate room. They are free to roam the house for the most part. Our shelties bring so much joy and love to our home. We cannot imagine our life without them. We strive to give the same joy shelties bring to others who love the breed as much as we do! Our dogs are well socialized around adults in all age ranges and children of various ages. The only child in the Suzara household is 11, but we have many young nieces, nephews, and friends' children that visit Suzara frequently. We make it a point to socialize each litter around children so they are well adjusted to a family surrounding. Whether you are looking for a show/conformation, brood bitch/stud, or a companion/pet, We at Suzara Shelties are honored to have you choose us to find that special friend. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We are always happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have! Shelties, whether you get one from us or somewhere else, are a breed all by themselves! We love to share the knowledge we have with potential owners before they buy to be sure they get the best pet for your family and home! Why Own A Dog? Why own a dog? There's danger you know. You can't own just one, the craving will grow. There's no doubt they're addictive, wherein lies the danger. While living with lots, you'll grow poorer and stranger. One dog is so funny, and two are no trouble. The third one is easy, the fourth one's a honey. The fifth is delightful, the sixth one's a breeze, You find you can live with a house full with ease. So how 'bout another? Would you really dare? They're really quite easy, but Lord, the hair. With dogs on the sofa, and dogs on the bed, And crates in the kitchen, It's no bother, you've said, They're really no trouble, their manners are great. What's just one more dog, and one more crate? The sofa is hairy, the windows are crusty, The floor is all footprints, the furniture is dusty, The housekeeping suffers, but what do you care? Who minds a few nose prints, and a little more hair? So let's keep a puppy, you can always find room, And a little more time for the dust cloth and broom, There's hardly a limit to the dogs you can add. The thought of a cutback sure makes you sad. Each one is so special, so useful, so funny, The vet bills, the food bills grow larger, you owe money, Your folks never visit, few friends come to stay Except other dog folks, who live the same way. Your lawn has now died, and your shrubs are dead too. But your weekends are busy, you're off with your crew, There's dog food and vitamins, and training and shots and show entries and motels which cost you lots. Is it worth it you wonder? Are you caught in a trap? Then your favorite dog comes and climbs in your lap, His look says your special, and you know that you will Keep all of the critters, in spite of the bill.
